Monday November 3, 2008 (foodconsumer.org) -- A new survey
reported in the November issue of Obstetrics & Gynecology found that 40% of
U.S. women have sexual problems or dysfunctions including low desire and
problems with orgasm, but only 12% are distressed about it.
The survey led by Dr. Jan Shifren at Harvard Medical
School and colleagues included 32,000 female respondents ages 18 and older.
Among those who had sexual problems, 39% reported
diminished desire, 26% reported problems with arousal and 21% problems with
achieving orgasm.
But only 12 % reported significant personal distress
associated with their problems.
