Wild blueberries have the highest activity of antioxidants, according to Cornell University researchers. But cultivated blueberries are not as potent as wild ones.
Among tested 25 fruits, pomegranates, blackberries, raspberries and cranberries also have the higher antioxidant activity while noni, acai and goji do not have much to show off.
The foods that contain low activity of antioxidants include melons and bananas, according to the study conducted by R.H. Liu and colleagues and published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.
