Alzheimer's patient early missing, found dead
A 76-year old man who suffered Alzheimer's disease was found early missing from home and now dead in the woods near his home, Boston Herald reported.
The search for the man from Holbrook ended Wednesday when his body was found a few miles from his home.
Jack Burke who had been wondering away in the past was found in the woods, David Traub, a spokesman for the Norfolk district attorney's office was cited saying. Officials did not suspect any foul play was involved in the death.
Burke's family asked the public for any information that may lead to find him soon enough before anything could happen to him. But the several days of intense search only recovered his dead body.
Patients with severe Alzheimer's disease which occurs often in people aged 65 or older are unable to take care of their own everyday activity.
There is no cure for the disease which is believed to affect about 2 to 5 million Americans.
