Stiff Nights may dangerously lower blood pressure: FDA

Following complaints, the Food and Drug Administration is warning  consumers that a sexual enhancement drug, Stiff Nights, contains an ingredient that can dangerously lower blood pressure and is illegal.

Stiff Nights is marketed as a dietary supplement, according to the FDA statement, and contains sulfoaildenafil, similar to the active ingredient in Viagra. This chemical may interact with prescription drugs known as nitrates, including nitroglycerin and cause dangerously low blood pressure, stated the FDA.

"Because this product is labeled as an 'all natural dietary supplement,' consumers may assume it is harmless and poses no health risk," said Deborah M. Autor, director of the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research Office of Compliance. "In fact, this product is illegally marketed and can cause serious complications."

The FDA notice said that sexual enhancement products that claim to work as well as prescribed drugs "are likely to contain a contaminant."

"Use of such products exposes consumers to unpredictable risk and the potential for injury or even death," the FDA said.

In recent years, the FDA has found numerous products that are marketed as dietary supplements but contain undeclared active ingredients of FDA-approved drugs and other compounds that do not qualify as dietary ingredients.

Stiff Nights is distributed on various Internet sites and at retail stores by Impulsaria LLC of Grand Rapids, Mich., stated the FDA, and is sold in bottles that contain 6, 12, or 30 red capsules or in blister packs.

The FDA advises consumers to report adverse events to the FDA's MedWatch program at www.fda.gov/medwatch/report.htm.

Never heard of Stiff Nights before, but judging by first impression, the name sounds "scammy" to me.
In fact, I have a real problem trusting any of those "natural" dietary supplements or any kind of "natural enhancement" products.
Give me a break, please!

I have tried it and it works and works well. However, it gives me muscle and lower back aches as most of the prescribed ones do. It's jumping off the shelves at the convenience stores.

I'm puzzled as to why the product is not taken off the market if it contains an ingredient not listed on the label or is "marketed illegally. May be no worse than prescription drugs. Bad idea either way to create artificial erections long term. Erectile dysfunction is due to damage to cells in blood vessels that normally produce nitric oxide. The damage is done by chronic inflammation. By just addressing the symptom and not correcting the underlying problem, you set yourself up for a more serious complication in the form of heart disease.

I swear it is getting harder and harder to be proud to be an American, let alone human. Why are we questioning the 'worth' of a product that "DOES" from personal experience work as it says it should and has added nothing but pleasure to my life and the lives of every single female sex partner that has attained higher levels of orgasm never possible before in there lives thanks to this drug and any possible risk taken by me and my penis. Milligram for milligram this pill does more for me and my lovers than tons of alcohol and cigarettes ever did for anyone. If you want to attack a destructive product focus on the real killers cigarettes and booze please. It was bad enough when you people got Effedrine banned! Here is the solution to stay safe....DON'T TAKE IT! But, please let me enjoy this wonderful product. Some days just aren't quite worth living without it....sheesh! I think another Dennis said it best (Miller) "can we just put the cigarettes straight into my hot dog to make killing myself more convienient and I will wash it down with a cold beer" or something to that effect....please just as you have let many, many, many drunks and druggies for millenia pick there poison----LEAVE MINE ALONE!

Are they going to take this off the market? That is my only question, the stuff works WELL, I am the wife, husband & myself likes it better than Viagra, he splits one usually. Hate to see it go or we might stock pile, not sure of expiration dates though. Anyone know if the FDA is going to stop this and how quickly?

Never heard of this dietary pills before. If this pills doesn’t past the FDA, it should not be marketed, and consumers must be aware of what products are verified by FDA. There's nothing wrong to feel good, but be conscious with your health.
