Dexter actor Michael C Hall's been battling Hodgkin's lymphoma cancer
Michael C Hall, an American actor who has played a role on a number of TV shows including Six Feet Under and Dexter has reportedly been battling cancer, according to Wikipedia.
Mr. Hall was cited as saying he was diagnosed with a cancer called Hodgkin's lymphoma, which the 38-year-old actor said is a "treatable and curable condition". He also said he has almost finished with his treatment and the disease is now in remission. But cancer treatments will continue.
Mr. Hall and his wife "Dexter" costar Jennifer Carpenter plan to attend Sunday's Golden Globes as Hall's nominated for the best dramatic actor and the show as the best drama.
It's not good news for a person to be diagnosed with a cancer at a young age, according to a health observer. A cancer that hits a man or woman at a young age is often more dangerous than those that strikes a man or woman at an older age.
Hodgkin's lymphoma is diagnosed in 8,000 people in the U.S. each year and the disease is estimated to kill about 1,200 people annually.
Hodgkin lymphoma cancer starts in cells of the immune system. Risk factors include certain viruses like Epstein-Barr virus or the human immunodeficiency virus or HIV, weakened immune system, and family history or genetics.
Common symptoms of Hodgkin’s lymphoma include swollen lymph nodes in the neck, underarms, or groin; being more sensitive to alcohol or having painful lymph nodes after drinking alcohol; weigh loss for no known reason; fever that does not go away, soaking night sweats, itchy skin, coughing, trouble breathing or chest pain, weakness and tiredness for no known reasons.
There is no reporting of how Mr. Michael Hall acquired Hodgkin's lymphoma disease.

Contagious Cancer?? Huh?
Higher vitamin d levels seem to keep the EB virus in a latent state, reducing the risk of proliferation of the infected cells (cancer).
