xbox live down

xbox.com says on its website that xbox live is now up and running again. Some time ago the server was down and the site said "We are aware of the problem and are working to resolve the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience."

This incident is an unexpected down time, but does not indicate that the website is closing its service.  Media reports say the website announced early that it planned to close original xbox services on April 15.

xbox live is an online gaming and entertainment service for xbox 360.  Xbox live connects users to games movies, music and fun with friends, according to xbox.com.

There are two types of services, one is free for all live members and the other is of course fee-based for gold members only.  The free service include free game demos, HD movies & TV shows, downloadable arcade games, game add-ons, avatars & avatar fashion, voice &text chat. 

In addition to the free features, the gold members also can play games online with friends, and enjoy features like streaming netflix, xbox live parties, photo sharing, video chat, facebook, twitter & last.FM, and early access to game demos & exclusive discounts.

It is not common to see xbox live down even though some down time from time to time should be expected due to the internet connectivity and hardware and software issues each website may encounter. nothing is perfect and enjoy your xbox live while the service is not down.
