Many people do not know this important fact that they do not need Omabacare or whatever health insurance to prevent or treat heart disease, which is the number one killer in the United States.

Bill Clinton did not know this as then U.S. President. And he ended up having some heart surgery and other procedures.  He did not die in hospital just because he was lucky.

Clinton's problem: he ate too much junk foods.  But Clinton is now very healthy and all his vital signs are just as healthy as they are supposed to be.

So what is Clinton's secret? Being a vegan!.  He now does not eat meat, dairy products, eggs and almost no edible oil.  His vegan diet has helped him lose a great deal of body weight. But he said he feels more energetic now than ever.

Clinton received dietary advice from two "unconventional" physicians who know a healthy diet can not only prevent, but also cure heart disease. They are  Prof. Dr. Dean Ornish, physician and professor at UC-San Francisco and director of the Preventive Medicine Research Institute in Sausalito, California and Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn Jr. of The Cleveland Clinic Wellness Institute.

Clinton paid his attention to his diet even when he worked in the White House.  But that time, he could not drastically change his diet even though he received the best advice from Dr. Ornish.

Dr. Ornish was cited by CNN as saying that the former president needs a vegan diet to improve his health because he has a family history of heart disease.  Slightly modified diet won't help in his case.

Dr. Ornish said evidence suggests that  most people can reverse heart disease simply by eating a plant-based diet.
