Pfizer has been trying to make a viagra-like drug for women with female sexual arousal dysfunction or FSAD, and studies in rabbits showed promise.

Before the drug is put on the market, what women with FSAD can do to help themselves?  There are some alternatives that have been found interesting.  Some remedies may even help create some sexual drive.

Waynberg J and Brewer S. at Institute of Sexology published a study in the Sept-Oct  2000 issue of Advances in therapy saying that a herbal remedy can do the trick well.

They reported that in women who used a unique herbal formulation of Muira puama and Ginkgo biloba (Herbal vX), "Statistically significant improvements occurred in frequency of sexual desires, sexual intercourse, and sexual fantasies, as well as in satisfaction with sex life, intensity of sexual desires, excitement of fantasies, ability to reach orgasm, and intensity of orgasm. Reported compliance and tolerability were good."

Simply eating soy products may also boost some women's sexual drive and arousal, according to a case report published in Journal of Sexual Medicine.

Amsterdam A and colleagues All Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center-Surgery reported that a woman who ate 4 pounds of a soy product for nearly one month actually suffered persistent sexual arousal syndrome.

Patients with this condition can be distressed by the escalation of tension in the pelvic region and have an urge to self-stimulate to release the pressure.

Well you don't have to eat so much to improve sexual drive.  The report just indicates that eating the soy products may help some women.
