ihop free pancake day 2010
IHOP says on its website Ihoppancakeday.com that to celebrate the Free National Pancake Day 2010 on Tuesday Feb 23, 2010, IHOP will give each customer one free short stack (three) of its famous buttermilk pancakes from 7.am to 10 pm.
IHOP stands for International House of Pancakes which is based out of Glendale California and run chain restaurants in USA, Canada and Mexico.
The IHOP Free National Pancake Day is a campaign to collect donations for charities, according to IHOP.
Since the inception of the National Pancake Day celebration in 2006, IHOP has raised more than $3.25 million to support charities in the communities where IHOP operates.
While IHOP Free National Pancake Day typically takes place on Shrove Tuesday, "this year the company will host its free pancake event on Tuesday, February 23, extending the fundraising window by one week to maximize donations for Children's Miracle Network," the website states.
As of September 30, 2009 there have been 1,433 IHOP restaurants operated in 50 states, Canada and Mexico.
