Vic Chesnutt, a George-based Singer and songwriter, died yesterday in Athens Georgia in a coma induced by an overdose of muscle relaxers, news media reports. He was 45.

It is unknown whether Chesnutt's overdose was intentional or accidental.  Muscle relaxers are used to treat muscle spasm, but they can cause quite some side effects.

Serious side effects of muscle relaxers include difficulty in breathing, change of heart beat and tightness in chest.  Symptoms that need immediate attention include any kind of allergic reactions such as itching, skin rash, hives, swelling of face, redness of eye, and stinging sensation among others.
