White bread recalled by Kroger

Kroger brand Super Kids Enriched White Sandwich Bread has been recalled for containing milk that may not be listed on the label, according to a Kroger Co. press release. The company said customers should return the product to stores for a refund or replacement.


People allergic to milk could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume the product, stated the release.


Stores in the following states are included in this recall; Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, No. Carolina, So. Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.


The recall also includes Jay C Food stores in Indiana, and Food 4 Less stores in Illinois and Indiana.


The white bread, which is sold in 20-ounce packages, has the following UPC numbers: 1111000831.
