FDA: What’s found in a Pepsi cola can is a frog or toad
A gentleman named Fred DeNegri, 55, resident of Ormond Beach, Florida, experienced some extraordinary sensation when he drank a can of Diet Pepsi, according to news media reports.
Mr. DeNegri was quoted as saying that "I've never tasted anything so awful in my life." He along with his wife Amy discovered a small animal macerating in the can!
ABC News reported that the U.S. Food and Drug dministration did a test and confirmed that the animal was either a frog or a toad.
The FDA searched the local Pepsi bottling plant from August 4 to 11 and concluded that there is no reason for any animal like a frog or toad to get into a Pepsi cola can during the bottling processing.
Still Jaydee Hanson at the Center for food Safety in Washington DC was quoted by ABC News as saying "What's a challenge with this is that lots of bottling plants and lots of processing plants have rather frequent problems with animals getting into their production facility."
According to media reports, the family had been contacted by a Pepsi rep, but Amy NeNegri complained that the rep was apologetic and her attitude changed only after she was told the FDA came and picked the "stuff" for testing.
The couple said they are seeking legal advice to examine their options, CNN reported.

I feel sorry for that rep for having to deal with that whiny family though. "I never tasted something so awful-" clearly doesn't have a good sense of taste. Of course, the weak never can hold down their :Flex:.
