Mr. Jasinski, the Big Brother ninth-season winner, was arrested Saturday after attempting to sell 2,000 pills of oxycodone. Oxycodone is a Schedule II narcotic analgesic widely used in clinical medicine, according to the DEA. The opioid analgesic medication is synthesized from opium derived thebaine. Oral medications commonly prescribed for the relief of moderate to severe pain contain this active ingredient, wikipedia states. Jasinski claimed he had used his $500,000 Big Brother winnings to bankroll his drug trafficking operation. The 31-year old man, a resident of Delray, Beach , Florida, was arrested after he flew to Boston and attempted to sell the drugs to an informant who works for the Drug Enforcement Administration. Todd Prough, the DEA special agent or witness, says in an affidavit that Mr. Jasinski had met a local drug dealer who got arrested earlier this month at Logan International Airport in East Boston, Massachusetts. The witness set up a drug buy by calling Jasinski on Oct 8, according to the affidavit. He met with Jasinski on Oct 17 at the airport and drove him to a location in North Reading. During the drive, Jasinski showed the informant two plastic bags of many small blue pills. And when the car stopped, he was arrested by agents waiting for him. Adam Jasinski was charged on Oct 21 in Massachusetts federal court for possession of oxycodone pills with intent to distribute in violation of the federal drug laws, the U.S. Department of Justice said in a press release.
