If I were Monsanto, I would consider to genetically engineer a transgenic chicken that would accept to eat GM crops.
And, after, possibly consider to genetically engineer transgenic men who will joyfully accept to eat GM chicken so that to replace that stupid people who stubbornly don't accept to.
And now everybody is OK.

For two or three years now, since the big corn boom, using it for fuel, my chickens have refused to eat cracked corn in the winter that I've bought in bags from Agway. It has an unusually sweet smell, different from previous years. Normally they'd run from all parts of the yard to get some - these birds, from two different flocks, refused it and would only eat some when it was very cold. I've suspected that it was genetically altered and haven't bought any more.

These people are out to finish the small scale farmer esp. from Africa who always depends on getting their seeds from their last harvest. Now with these Gm foods the seeds have to supplied by Monsanto every time you want to plant, damn expensive!

We have always fed corn to the wild deer in our area of rural Virginia. At one point, we switched brands and the deer would not eat it. They would sniff the corn and were visibly repulsed. It was the strangest thing -- each day about 30 deer would not eat, after years of feeding them. A friend suggested that the corn may be genetically modified. We found out that it was. Like the chickens, the deer know immediately what is good and what is dangerous!

This is simultaneously distressing and comforting. Distressing that GMO's are used in such a way, but comforting that animals are helping us humans to detect such misuses of GMO's.
