foodconsumer.org: Featured products: chill soda Featured products: chill soda ================================================================================ admin on 02/07/2010 00:56:00 Chill soda is a low glycermic organic soda produced by Chill Beverage Company. The most striking feature for the chill soda is that it does not use simple sugar and high fructose corn syrup - both are cheap, effectively deliver a natural sweet taste, but are believed to have an impact on the system responsible for the carbohydrate metabolism. Some studies even have associated the conventional soda or soft drinks with obesity and diabetes among other conditions and regulators even proposed some extra sales tax on such products. Other goodies Chill soda has to offer include added antioxidants and vitamin C and D. Additionally the product comes with no artificial ingredients nor preservatives. The product uses some attractive flavors including chill guava, chill kola, chill lemon and chill pome. On the nutrition facts label, we can see it does use 21 grams of sugars per 12 ounces. Based on the "no simple sugar" claim, we may assume that the sugars may be some types of polysaccharides. But indeed we don't know exactly what sugar it uses. The company based out of Sasaulito, California has a website at chillsoda.com. At this time. not chill soda is available from the website. For details about chill soda, check out www.chillsoda.com.
