This is absolutely outrageous.

**A new EWG report reveals that chromium-6, the cancer-causing chemical I first investigated in 1991, contaminates the water supplies of more than 200 million Americans in all 50 states.**

I have spent 25 years advocating for our basic right to safe, clean drinking water. Why? Because Americans are being poisoned, and the government isn’t doing a damn thing about it.

**It’s INEXCUSABLE that the government has done so little to protect us from this chemical that has been shown to cause cancer at even insanely low levels.** By not establishing a national safety limit, our government has allowed millions of Americans – including our children! – to ingest harmful chemicals on a daily basis.

That’s why I’m asking for your help today. It’s time to make a fuss and demand action. Are you with me?! Let’s make sure the EPA hears us loud and clear: It needs to do its job and protect us from chromium-6 by setting a national safety limit.

It’s truly a national shame to think that the government has had more than TWO DECADES to set a contaminant level in drinking water that medical experts and toxicologists tell us is safe for human consumption, but has failed us nonetheless.

The chemical industry has lied, cheated, sued, intimidated, falsified documents and outright bullied anyone trying to protect consumers of drinking water. **We can’t let them get away with this any longer.** It’s time to get loud and make sure the EPA does its job and protects the American people!
