You’ve been hearing a lot from us about the DARK Act lately, so I wanted to give you a quick update of where we stand.

Not only would this legislation block the federal government from requiring labels on genetically modified foods, but it would also prohibit state and local governments from any regulation of GMOs. That’s why we call it the Deny Americans the Right to Know Act. **And it could be up for a vote in the Senate any day now.**

So we've teamed up with farmers, chefs and other food activists to fight on your behalf on Capitol Hill. This year alone, we’ve had more than 200 meetings with members of Congress or their staffs.

**But we can’t let up – not even for a minute.** Now that Congress is back in session, the DARK Act could be heading to the Senate *any* day. We’re counting on you to sustain this effort. **Giving to EWG is the best way to defeat this dangerous legislation before it’s too late.**
