## If you do,

**Child Tax Credit - up to $1,000 per child**

It looks like your income may be too high to qualify for the Child Tax Credit, which is fully available to married couples filing jointly making up to $110,000, married couples filing separately making up to $75,000, and singles making up to $55,000\. The credit phases out above those amounts. The Recovery Act expanded eligibility for the credit to additional families and increased the credit for other families. ## If you do not,

The Recovery Act expanded eligibility for the Child Tax Credit and the Earned Income Tax Credit to additional families and increased the credit for other families. [Learn more](http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=205670,00.html?ref=foodconsumer.org).

You cannot get the child tax credit if you do not have dependent children.
