- Description: An EWG fundraising appeal notes the World Health Organization calls 2,4-D “possibly carcinogenic to humans” and glyphosate a probable carcinogen, says the EPA approved Enlist Duo without studying how the two interact, and asks readers to help raise $25,000 for GMO labeling.

**The World Health Organization says 2,4-D – one of the two active ingredients in the new toxic herbicide Enlist Duo – is “possibly carcinogenic to humans.”**

That’s the same Enlist Duo that the EPA approved in April for use on millions of acres of GMO crops.

If that’s not bad enough, the EPA never bothered to study how 2,4-D interacts with glyphosate – the other active ingredient in Enlist Duo – even though in March glyphosate, too, was classified as a probable carcinogen.

But here’s the real kicker: **Because our country has no national GMO-labeling requirement, consumers have NO way to know whether the food we buy was treated with these toxic chemicals.**

**EWG is fighting for your right to know, but we need to raise another $25,000 before MIDNIGHT TONIGHT to keep pushing for GMO labeling. Will you give now?**

We know this won’t be easy. Dow Chemical, along with Monsanto and its other Big Ag buddies, are doubling down. In response to the WHO’s finding, Dow called 2,4-D a “safe and valuable tool for agriculture.”

*Safe and valuable?!*

They’ve already pumped millions of dollars to grease the wheels of Congress and fight GMO labeling, and it’s clear they’re not going down without a fight.

But EWG is fighting back, using the power of information to demand your basic right to know what you’re eating. And we can’t do it without your support.
