A study published on Monday in the medical journal JAMA Internal Medicine indicates that even a small meal offered by a drug company may influence a doctor's prescribing behavior. Doctors are not the only human beings that can be influenced by money. Researchers, politicians, journalists/media, and maybe every organization or individual can be influenced by money or other forms of benefits/incentives offered by any organizations or individuals.

Here is a NPR report on the study.
