**Freshway Foods Introduces New Summer Salad Line**

*Several healthy, delicious salads will be featured at IDDBA Dairy-Deli-Bake Conference*

**SIDNEY, OHIO — May 12, 2014 —** Freshway Foods announced today that the company will introduce a line of new summer salads at the upcoming IDDBA Dairy-Deli-Bake Conference. The new summer salads contain a broad variety of superfoods, including kale, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, beets and mangos.

Samples of the company’s Super Veggie Detox and 5-A-Day Plus Salads will be offered at the show. “Today’s consumers are seeking out healthy options for their families, and they would like to purchase healthy salads from their local deli department or salad bar. We have seen a trend of stores adding kale, beets, Brussels sprouts and healthy salad kits, like our 5-A-Day Plus Salad, to attract new customers to their salad bars,” said Kirk Norman, Director of Business Development for Freshway Foods. “Our new on-trend summer salads are ideal for stores that are looking for ways to refresh their behind-the-glass salads and salad bar selection.”

The company’s salad kits are designed to be assembled in store and contain all ingredients for a complete deli salad. Other salad kits in the summer product line include a Kale Pear Salad, Asian Powerhouse Salad, Tangy Orange Fruit Salad, Sweet Onion Bacon Slaw and a Curried Cauliflower Salad, as well as two new grab-and-go salad kits, the Tropical Island and Fruity Berry salads.
