Dear colleagues,

The May issue of Health Communication Science Digest (HCSD or Digest) is now available at [http://www.cdc.gov/healthcommunication/ScienceDigest/index.html](http://www.cdc.gov/healthcommunication/ScienceDigest/index.html?ref=foodconsumer.org)

In the Digest this month: Several authors report on health message design considerations (Andrews, et al.; Blanc & Brigaud; de Irala, et al.; Gollust & Cappella; Greaney, et al.; Kim, et al.; Rinaldi-Miles, et al.). Factors affecting health information use and satisfaction are examined by Bol, et al.; Cunningham, et al.; and Hovick, et al. Health communication evaluation and research (Emery, et al.; Gibson, et al.; Neuman, et al.) and health literacy (Armin, et al.; Heerman, et al.; Ownby, et al.) are the focus of several papers. Aspects of both crisis and risk communication (Oh, et al.) and audience targeting and tailoring (Jou, et al.; Najib Balbale, et al.) are also reported.

Please remember that you can access all issues of the “[Health Communication Science Digest](http://www.cdc.gov/healthcommunication/ScienceDigest/HCSD-eArchive.pdf?ref=foodconsumer.org)” series online via the searchable Health Communication Science Digest Archive.
