By Jimmy DownsSunday Jan 19, 2013 (foodconsumer.org) -- A review in Annals of Internal Medicine suggests that intensive blood pressure control reduces stroke risk in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The review led by L. Moist finds also that intensive blood pressure control does not reduce risk of death nor myocardial infarction or heart attack in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.People with type 2 diabetes mellitus may want to reverse their condition completely using alternative treatments and following a antidiabetic diet or a diet that helps get rid of the disease.Type 2 diabetes mellitus, a disease that affects an estimated 25 million Americans, is believed to be completely avoidable by following a healthy diet with cinnamon, curcumin, bitter melon, prebiotics and probiotics among other foods.
