A new review in American Journal of Gastroenterology suggests that intake of soluble fiber can help people who live with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

The review found that soluble fiber, but not bran helped irritable bowel syndrome.

The review was based on 14 trials of 906 patients registered prior to Dec 2013 in major databases including MEDLINE, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Controlled Trials Register. (David Liu)
