Cancer patients may be better off eating Chinese and Mexican foods, pasta, pizza and other mixed dishes (convenience diet) and vegetarian diet (fruits and vegetables) than southern style diet full of added fat, fried foods, organ meat and sugar-sweetened beverages (southern diet), according to a new study. The study shows that eating convenience diet or vegetarian diet cut the risk of death from cancer by about 20% while eating the southern diet increased the risk by more than 100% among African Americans and 70% among whites. *Tomi Akinyemiju, Justin X.
