- Description: In a randomized study of 34 Crohn's patients in remission, 10,000 IU of vitamin D3 daily raised 25-hydroxy-vitamin D levels and lowered relapse risk during the trial compared with 1,000 IU. Both doses improved depression and showed a good safety profile.
