Delaney Starcher, 5-yo girl, suffers rare brain cancer
By Jimmy Downs
Many people are searching for the name Delaney Starcher on google in hopes that they will make the name of a 5-year girl most searched on google so many people may know her story and give their support to help the little girl to fight the awful disease she suffers.
Delaney Starcher was diagnosed with a Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma on Oct 29th 2009. Someone, probably her mother, a relative or a friend, posted an article on caringbridge.org asking surfers to pray for a miracle and donate money to support her treatment.
The cancer is located in the brain system of Delaney Starcher. It can't be removed by surgery because of the size and location (it is entwined with the brain stem). The prognosis is very poor and the average survival is 6 to 9 months.
Delaney Starcher's stepfather was also diagnosed with a cancer called squamous cell cancer of the base of the Tongue with medastasis to the Neck lymph nodes.
Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma is usually diagnosed in children. It forms in the brain stem. It is a type of central nervous system tumor that forms from glial (supportive) tissue of the brain and spinal cord.
Gliomas is found in about 300 children and 100 adults each year in the United States.

in God's sweet keep
sleep little child sleep
in slumber yet deep
Sleep on in our hearts too
Rest safely secure
Sleep rest in our love
For it’s there we assure
Sleep sweetly little one
In God’s very arms
Safe yet secure
From all its life, that harms
No worry no fear
No life or days left to grow
You’ll grow as an angel
Always loved so
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You will always be loved and remembered!
May your golden wings shimmer so bright, may the be encrusted with every precious gem in sight!
Sincerely,
Lisa :-)
