#LabelGMOsNewEngland!
Dear Organic Consumer,
How long is Monsanto going to go on poisoning the U.S. food system?
As long as we let them.
We are approaching a critical deadline. Can you help us raise another $35,000 so we can meet our goal by March 31? Your donation today is worth twice as much, thanks to an anonymous donor in New England. Details on how to donate online, by check or by phone here.
Just days after the World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed that Roundup causes cancer, a bill was introduced in Congress that if passed, will keep food manufacturers from ever having to tell you that your food contains GMOs.
With your help, we will fight this federal law with everything we’ve got.
One of the key components of our strategy to win at the federal level is to pass more state GMO labeling laws. And the best opportunities to pass these laws right now are in New England, including Maine and Massachusetts.
Please take advantage of this matching gift offer, which ends at midnighttonight. Details on how to donate online, by check or by phone here.
It’s clear that the agencies charged with protecting us from toxic chemicals have failed. Not only does glyphosate, the key ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup, cause cancer. But the EPA has known this since 1985.
Yet now, desperate to protect their profits, Monsanto and Big Food are pushing a federal bill that will guarantee consumers will never have the basic right to know if their food contains GMOs (almost all of which are grown using glyphosate).
It will take a powerful, committed consumer movement to overcome Monsanto’s influence on Capitol Hill.
You are that movement.
Thanks to you, this movement has come a long way in the past several years. Now is not the time to sit back, to "wait and see."
Now is the time to step up our game.
We’re grateful for the generosity of our anonymous New England donor. Please help us make this most of this generous offer by donating today to run strong GMO labeling campaigns in Maine, Massachusetts and other New England states.
Congress will have a much more difficult time ramming through their bill to preempt states’ rights to label GMOs, if we can pass a few more strong state laws asap.
Donations made to the Organic Consumers Fund, our 501(c) 4 lobbying arm, are not tax-deductible. If you want to support the grassroots advocacy and education campaigns in these states, you can make a tax-deductible donation to our 501(c)3 here.
Thank you!

P.S. According to a news report this week, the EPA classified Monsanto’s glyphosate as a carcinogen in 1985—and then reversed that decision, under pressure from the biotech industry. Please donate today to pass strong GMO labeling laws. Your donation today will be matched by a generous anonymous donor in New England. Thank you!
