Your privacy matters to us. This page explains what Food Consumer collects and how it is used.
What we collect
- Your email address, and your name if you choose to give it, when you subscribe to the newsletter or create a free account.
- Comments you post on articles, shown with your name.
- Visit statistics, such as which pages are read and where visitors come from. These are collected without tracking cookies and are not used to identify you.
How we use it
We use your email address to send the newsletter you signed up for and to run your account. We use visit statistics to understand what readers find useful.
What we never do
We do not sell, rent or give your personal information to anyone.
Cookies and browser storage
If you sign in, a cookie keeps you signed in. When you sign up, your browser briefly stores which pages led you here, and that record is cleared when your browsing session ends. We do not use advertising cookies. If that changes, this page will be updated first.
Who processes your data
The site runs on Ghost(Pro), which hosts the site, stores member accounts and sends our emails on our behalf.
Your choices
Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. You can update or delete your account from your account settings, or by emailing foodconsumer.org@gmail.com.
