Living near an AM radio transmitter can increase all sorts of leukemia, according to a Korean study. The study shows that the odds for all types of leukemia was doubled among children who resided within 2 km of an AM radio transmitter, compared to those living more than 20 km from any AM radio transmitter.Exposure to radiofrequency radiation from AM transmitters was not associated with risk of brain cancer and infantile cancer.
