When we suspended our fundraiser for the holiday break on Dec 22 we had raised $34,401 from 254 donors. I am very happy to report that in the intervening three days our total has jumped to $48,178 from 281 donors. This was a fabulous Christmas present and we thank all of you who have contributed. Our goal of raising $100,000 from 500 donors by midnight December 31 still looks very, very daunting but miracles do happen and we are hoping for several of them over the next 6 vital days of our effort.

Jack Cook - FAN's content editor for YouTube
I started a relationship with Jack Cook by e-mail back in 2008 when he began helping us on technical issues for FAN projects, and I now count him a valuable member of the FAN team. Jack was responsible for all the figures in our book, The Case Against Fluoride (Chelsea Green, 2010). I first met Jack and his lovely wife Kate in person when they drove up together from Nashville, TN, to attend the FAN conference in Canton, NY, in July of 2010. At the conference Jack and Kate videotaped many of the participants in preparation for a video entitled "Citizen Activists Perspectives on Water Fluoridation" intended to be a cousin to the Professional Perspectives video. The presentation of Henry Lickers is the first of these videos to be posted. After the conference was over Jack sat me down and elicited one of the best interviews I have ever given on this subject. Although the video will be edited to a one-hour version, you can view the full content of the interview at Jack's YouTube channel. I go to Jack every time I have any kind of technical problem, or require creative input on any issue or simply just plain common sense. FAN video YouTube channel
This past year we have put a great deal of time and energy into upgrading and improving our FAN YouTube channel by adding content from our archives and by producing some contemporary videos. We have attempted to keep the site both active and relevant to current events in the fluoride debate. We have also provided links to fluoride videos from other YouTube channels. FAN YouTube remains a work in progress.
The Fluoride Action Network YouTube channel provides access to very uncomfortable truths that fluoridating countries and fluoride propagandists have hidden or distorted for over six decades. These videos are a refreshing yet disturbing window into how an engineered belief rather than scientific discourse can lead to significant adverse health consequences for an entire population.
In the FAN YouTube channel channel you will find landmark news reports of national events affecting fluoridation - a dangerous fluorosilicic acid spill in Rock Island, Illinois - the first change of fluoride additive recommendations by Health and Human Services' in over fifty years - or a local news vignette revealing that a prominent state legislator and doctor has determined for himself how dangerous fluoridation really is. You will also find documentaries such as:
1) The Fluoride Deception, an interview with former BBC producer and author Christopher Bryson.
2) Crippling Waters, the internationally acclaimed and startling record of dentist David Kennedy's exploration into China's program to reduce fluoride contamination of its citizens.
3) Poisoned Horses is the story of Wayne and Cathy Justus of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, and their discovery that fluoride poisoning was responsible for killing their beloved show horses.
The FAN YouTube channel also includes comprehensive interviews with scientists and professional researchers who have broken through official dogma and discovered the truth about fluoride's many adverse health effects. These include William Hirzy, PhD, a highly respected former employee of the Environmental Protection Agency, university professor, and past president of the EPA Unionrepresenting thousands of professionals; John Colquhoun, dentist, researcher, historian and former Principle Dental Officer for the Auckland, New Zealand Health District - Colquhoun was once a strong advocate of fluoridation until he discovered the real statistical truth and history behind fluoridation policy, and Dr. Vyvyan Howard, a medical toxico-pathologist and past president of the International Society of Doctors for the Environment, who reveals the adverse health impact of fluoride exposure on infant development.
Much of what you see at FAN YouTube has simply never been available to the general public until now. Our videos are viewed by thousands of concerned people all over the world. We would like to produce new and more comprehensive videos while continuing to post amazing material from our past productions. All of this takes time and some amount of funding to help us maintain our computers and defray our production and video conversion costs (we have to carefully convert aging VHS tapes to DVD, convert the files to digital in order to edit the sound and video, and upload the final product to YouTube). Establishing an account on YouTube is still free for now. Maintaining and producing video content is the hard part.
