Just a few weeks after Hulk Hogan confessed on national television that he was suicidal during his divorce battles with ex-wife Linda Bollea, the blonde behemoth has announced his engagement to girlfriend Jennifer McDaniel, according to Fox News.

Hogan and Bollea spent months airing their dirty laundry and trashing one another in public.  In his book, “My Life Outside the Ring,” the wrestler-turned-reality star claims that Linda was an alcoholic who abused her children.  Regardless of whether or not addiction was part of their relationship, they both seem to have the same drug-of-choice:  DRAMA.

In 2007, Hogan’s son Nick lost control of his dad’s Toyota Supra, wrapping it around a tree.  Nick’s passenger was permanently brain damaged during the incident, inciting his family to bring a civil suit against the Hogans.  Linda filed for divorce soon afterward.

In his book, Hogan also described some of his darker moments after he and Linda split up.  He claims that after taking Xanax, he pulled out a gun and actually had his finger on the trigger.   At that moment, his phone rang; it was his Gladiators co-star Laila Ali, whom he credits with saving his life.

Earlier this week, Hogan’s engagement was formally announced; photographers took pictures of Jennifer’s huge diamond after the couple was seen at LAX.
