The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS.gov) announced today that open enrollement period starts today Oct 15 until December 7, 2012.October 15 to December 7 is when ALL people with Medicare can change or update their Medicare health plan and prescription drug coverage for the year 2013. CMS says on its website at www.cms.gov that information on 2013 plans will be available beginning in October.   Patients with Medicare can call 1-800-MEDICARE or visit website www.medicare.gov for plan information. This open enrollement period is for those who want to change their medicare plans.  Those who are satisfied that their current plans do not have to change anything while getting the same benefits.
