Dear Readers,

Did you know there are GM trees destroying the Brazilian rainforest?  It's true, Brazil's incredibly bio-diverse rainforests have been destroyed over the years for GM crops, coffee and cattle.  Now, genetically engineered tree plantations are being bundled within reforestation projects, while glyphosate is sprayed on once pristine land, contaminating water sources. They have become what scientist David Suzuki describes as Silent Forests.

That's why IRT is supporting this important IndieGoGo campaign!

We have the opportunity to help a small rural community take a powerful stand for their land, water and livelihoods, by supporting organic native tree growers and a small local non-profit, offering non-GMO education for agroforestry.

If each person reading this were to give at least one tree through the IndieGoGo holiday campaign, we could make a HUGE impact this season. The goal is to give 170,000 trees to reforest 250 acres, with hundreds of native species trees, to 100 subsistence farm families. That gives the entire planet a gift!
It costs $5 to plant a tree, $10 with the cost of organic field maintenance for two years.

Thank you!

The small but mighty IRT team!
