Friday Sep 19, 2014 (foodconsumer.org) -- Scientists at University of Lodz in Pomorska, Poland suggests that a nutritional supplement call NucleVitalQ10 Complex can help maintain redox homeostasis and slow the aging process. The study found the dietary supplement significantly increased total antioxidant capacity of plasma and activity of erythrocyte superoxide dismutase and the concentration of telomerase although the length of lymphocyte telomeres remained unchanged after the supplementation.Daily intake of NucleVital®Q10 Complex includes omega-3 acids (1350 mg), ubiquinone (300 mg), astaxanthin (15 mg), lycopene (45 mg), lutein palmitate (30 mg), zeaxanthine palmitate (6 mg), L-selenomethionine (330 mg), cholecalciferol (30 µg) and α-tocopherol (45 mg).The study involved 66 healthy women aged 35-55 using a diet supplemented with the supplement for 12 weeks. NucleVitalQ10 Complex maintains antioxidant system
Scientists at the University of Lodz gave 66 healthy women aged 35 to 55 the supplement NucleVital Q10 Complex for 12 weeks. Plasma antioxidant capacity, erythrocyte superoxide dismutase activity and telomerase concentration rose, while lymphocyte telomere length did not change.
