Mark Your Calendars, The Greatest Show (& Tell)
on Earth Hits Denver in June

Colorado Maker Hub presents the Second Annual Denver Mini Maker Faire –
a family friendly event where Colorado makers, inventors and artisan crafters showcase their creativity and resourcefulness. The festivities will take place at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science on June 13-14, 2015.

Denver, CO, (April 2, 2015) - A Maker Revolution is happening across the U.S., and in Colorado, a center of the Maker Movement, local and regional makers will be showcasing their DIY talents in science, technology, crafting, fashion, and sustainability at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science for a two-day interactive, fun-filled event.

Participants in this year's Denver Mini Maker Faire will find over 100 Makers with hands-on demos, exhibits and activities featuring electronics, arts, music, new technology and the crazy things that are made when these things come together. From Monkey Hunter Physics and a Drone Obstacle course to a Synthesizer Petting Zoo, there is something for everyone, say the event’s producers.

“Our mission is to advance the Maker Movement in Colorado where we have a vibrant community of tinkerers, tech enthusiasts, artists, inventors, educators, youth makers, hobbyists, science clubs, students and entrepreneurs,” said CO Maker Hub Founder, Elizabeth VanDyne. “By producing the Denver Mini Maker Faire we are creating a place where makers can showcase their ingenuity while also inspiring the attendees to go home and start tinkering!”

In addition to indoor and outdoor exhibits, this year’s highlights of the Denver Mini Maker Faire include:

  • Artocade: Help build an art car with "cartists" from Trinidad Artocade!
  • Science of Music: Make your own instrument, experiment with electronic music and more.
  • Drone Obstacle Course: Fly a quadcopter.
  • Cardboard Challenge: Build whatever you imagine.
  • Try out Sparkfun’s Paint with Code, laser engraving with Epilog, and many more activities! Join in this celebration of curiosity and creativity.
