A new report released in 2016 in Acupuncture & Electro-Therapeutics Research suggests that vitamin D, taurine and fish oil may be used to treat various forms of cancer including esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, pancreatic cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, and lung cancer.
However, the optimal dose of vitamin D3 to achieve the best anticancer effect is 400 IU instead of the commonly used 2000 to 5000 IU. When high doses are used, cancer markers are increased by two to three times. The best anticancer effect of taurine is 175 mg instead of 500 mg.
Also, taurine levels are found extremely lower in various cancers including esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, pancreatic cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, and lung cancer than the normal tissue, 0.0025 ng vs. 5.0 ng. In babies infected with Zika virus, even ten times lower levels of taurine was found.
In optimal doses, taurine decreases cancer-associated biomarkers such as Oncogene C–fosAb2 & Integrin α5β1 significantly. An average adult cancer patient who took 175 mg three times a day "significantly increased his urinary excretion of bacteria, viruses, & funguses, asbestos, toxic metals & other toxic substances."
The report also says that taurine in an optimal dose can also used together with "ω3 fish oil [EPA 180mg & DHA 120mg] & special cilantro tablet 3 times/day” were found extremely safe, more effective and economical for treatment of various cancers. (David Liu)
