DONATE

Dear Readers,

You can play a crucial role in helping us expose some of the most dangerous ingredients used in pesticides today.

CFS is fighting Syngenta and a handful of other chemical companies in court to defend Kauai’s new pesticide disclosure ordinance.

If we can defend this important law on Kauai, we’ll not only protect this beautiful island and its residents for generations to come, we’ll set a precedent for the rest of the country to follow.

Thousands of acres on Kauai are used to grow experimental genetically engineered (GE) crops by the chemical and biotech industry. But Kauai is a small island, and many of those test sites are extremely close to schools, homes, and waterways.

That’s how school children and other residents have repeatedly been sickened by these dangerous chemicals. To make matters worse, Syngenta and their counterparts in the biotech industry don’t want to say which chemicals they’re using.

That’s why the County of Kauai recently passed a groundbreaking law that creates buffer zones around sensitive locations and forces the biotech companies to disclose exactly which chemicals they’re spraying on the island.

Unsurprisingly, the big chemical companies are challenging the law in court. That’s where we come in. CFS and our partners have intervened in the case to defend the people and environment of Kauai.

With the deep pockets of the industrial ag industry behind it, Syngenta and its allies are sure to pour millions of dollars into this fight. That doesn’t scare us because we know generous supporters like you have our back.

Until June 30th, every donation to CFS will be matched by an anonymous supporter. So $5 from you becomes $10 against Big Ag.

Thanks for making this work possible.
