Since its passage through the Senate, the new health care bill is a given; however, this doesn’t mean that the majority of the American public is "at ease" about what lies ahead. There are too many unknowns at this point; the transition will assuredly be problematic, change always is.
In the midst of all of the health care debate, health consortiums across the country have been gathering to discover ways to define, at least loosely, what exactly constitutes the current "health care crisis." Although everything from the AIG bailout to Reaganomics has been ultimately blamed, virtually every roundtable debate covered by the media agrees on one point: the vast majority of visits to the physician’s office are "lifestyle" related. MSNBC reported last summer that 70% of our ailments are comprised of lifestyle issues.
Although initially disconcerting, there is a silver lining to this shocking revelation, and that is the fact that through a dedication to prevention, many illnesses can be assuaged; some, even be reversed.
In a previous article, Food Consumer reported on an interview with Dr. Jon Kaiser, well-known for cutting edge research implementing micronutrient supplementation as an adjuvant treatment therapy for AIDS. As was reported, patients who received Dr. Kaiser’s micronutrient cocktail (which consists of 33 nutrients and the following three amino acids: acetyl-L-carnitine, alpha lipoic acid, and N-acetyl-cysteine) lived not only longer lives, but lives with a significantly higher quality of life than those given a placebo ((http://www.kpaxpharm.com/studyresults.html ).
Because of these positive results, Dr. Kaiser has made this supplement available to the public as "K-PAX Immune System Support Formula."
Dr. Kaiser explained exactly why this particular cocktail is so effective; it has to do with the "powerhouse" of the human cell, the mitochondrion. K-PAX acts as "rocket fuel" to mitochondria; after introducing K-PAX into the body, every cell within the immune system becomes energized, ready to fight the good fight against the body’s invasive predators.
The formula that constitutes K-PAX has not just been tested on AIDS patients; it is a broad spectrum immune system booster that, over the past 15 years, has proven to be a formidable foe to chronic diseases such as cancer chronic fatigue syndrome.
The logical question that comes from reviewing Dr. Kaiser’s research is this: if the results of adding the micronutrient cocktail can be of such undeniable benefit to patients who are already sick, what would the impact of using the supplementation in preventative fashion be? The potential relevance of K-PAX as a viable preventative becomes obvious.
In an effort to crystallize Dr. Kaiser’s findings and translate them into a preventable plan for the average person seeking to improve the quality of their lives, Food Consumer asked him what type of specific lifestyle changes citizens concerned about their health should put into place. His answer was four pronged, and extremely "doable."
Make proper Nutrition a priori
First of all, Dr. Kaiser suggests that we maximize the nutrition we provide our bodies through the foods we eat. Not only does that mean consuming nutritionally dense foods, it means eliminating fast food and sugary soft drinks.
Maintain an Active Lifestyle
Next on the list is incorporating enough exercise into our daily routines, which Dr. Kaiser emphasizes is, at the very least, being physically active 3 times a week, for thirty minutes. That’s the minimum.
Rid Ourselves of Harmful Habits
This means eliminating tobacco and other harmful drugs from our systems. As for alcohol, we should only indulge in moderation.
Take a supplement as complete as K-PAX
Thankfully, Dr. Kaiser’s research and ultimate manufacture of just such a product makes this particular suggestion the easiest of the four. One only has to compare K-PAX to Centrum to realize that K-PAX is a vastly superior alternative.
That’s because Centrum and other popular vitamin formulations do NOT contain the critical amino acids that Dr. Kaiser’s research revealed as pertinent to the health and well being of ill patients.
Unlike many fly-by-night, wanna-be health products, the effectiveness of K-PAX has been proven for a decade and a half; it’s also been backed by critically acclaimed research. According to the K-PAX website:
In the past, there has been no "by-prescription, broad-spectrum, orally-administered immune booster to help improve the lives of patients with immune deficiency conditions such as HIV/AIDS, Chronic Hepatitis C, Cancer, bone marrow suppression, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and recurrent MRSA."
"K-PAX Immune Support Formula seeks to target this void in the immune modulator market by becoming the first safe, clinically proven, affordable, reimbursable, orally-administered treatment to broadly enhance immune function in people with immune deficiency conditions."
