Birth control pills don't cause weight gain

Oregon Health & Science University researchers gave rhesus macaques human-equivalent doses of oral contraceptives for eight months and saw no change in food intake, activity or lean muscle mass. Normal-weight monkeys held steady; obese ones lost 8.5% of their weight.
