McDonald's China calls the additives in its chicken McNuggets harmless and compliant with Chinese standards, though a nutritionist quoted by Bloomberg calls tertiary butylhydroquinone toxic to some extent. US nuggets contain TBHQ and the anti-foaming agent dimethylpolysiloxane too.
