Je and Giovannucci pooled 16 studies covering 6,628 endometrial cancer cases and found the heaviest coffee drinkers were up to 29 percent less likely to develop the disease. Each additional cup a day corresponded to an 8 percent lower risk. The authors call for more large studies.

Significant weight gain in adulthood increased risk for endometrial cancer (PR)
Victoria Stevens of the American Cancer Society reported at an AACR prevention conference that postmenopausal women who gained weight during adulthood had higher endometrial cancer risk than those who stayed stable. The data cover 38,152 women, 560 of whom reported the cancer from 1992 to 2007.
