Texas A&M researchers tested polyphenol extracts from five mango varieties against several cancer cell lines. Ataulfo and Haden showed the strongest activity; Ataulfo cut growth of SW-480 colon cancer cells by about 72 percent in culture without inhibiting normal colon cells.
