Taking multivitamins may raise breast cancer risk
Following 35,000 Swedish women aged 49 to 83 for a decade, researchers found those taking multivitamins were 19 percent more likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer. The design cannot show cause, and the authors note supplement users may already have been at higher risk.

A Nottingham University meta-analysis of 40 studies from 1980 to 2007 found people with asthma took in significantly less vitamin A, and those with severe asthma about 50 percent less than those with mild disease. Vitamin E intake showed no link to asthma risk.
