AP reported a study on yahoo.com saying that amphibians disappear at an alarming rate. As estimated, frogs, salamanders and toads disappear at a rate of 3.7 percent per year, which means that in 20 years, half of them are going to vanish from their inhabited sites. Some species disappear even faster, at greater than 11 percent per year and are expected to cut their populations by half in merely six years. Amphibians are not the only species that are disappearing.
