B J Houston at University of Newcastle in Callaghan, New South Wales, Australia and colleagues conducted a review and concluded that mobile phone use can damage the male reproductive system.

The review of 27 studies was intended to examine the effect of radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation (RF-EMR) emitted by mobile phones on the male reproductive system.

The reviewers found negative outcomes resulting from exposure to RF-EMR in 21 out of 27  studies.  The majority of studies found exposure to RF-EMR caused significant declines in the sperm mobility, elevated levels of reactive oxygen species and DNA damage.

Associated with the negative physiological consequences,  exposure to RF-EMR also lowered antioxidant levels and supplementation with antioxidants like vitamin C ameliorated the negative consequences resulting from the exposure to RF-EMR. (David Liu)
