Dear Readers,
I get asked all the time where I find up-to-date environmental news, or what I read with my morning coffee. Like you, I get my news from a variety of sources, but one of the most-visited sites in my browser history is Environmental Health News, founded by Dr. J Peterson Myers -- a world-renowned environmental scientist and longtime friend of Environmental Working Group.
The veteran journalists, scientists and experts at the non-profit EHN monitor daily news coverage and major scientific articles to bring you a summary of critical developments in science, health and the environment. Subscription is free. Every morning, I browse though EHN's digest of the day's top news as soon as its daily feed Above the Fold pops up in my email. On any given day I can scan a quick summary of around 150 stories, including EHN's original reporting, on the issues I care about -- toxic chemicals, food safety, climate change and other environmental risks -- and follow links for more detail.
And did I mention that it's free?

I also make a point to check out EHN's sister site. The Daily Climate features links to worldwide news on climate change -- its causes and consequences as well as the potential solutions to a global challenge.
Here are some original stories I found interesting this week:
- Exhaust-ing ride for cyclists: Air pollutants trigger heart risk
- Battling an ancient scourge, with satellites and sari cloth
And here are a couple of headlines that caught me on today's front page:
Whatever your top environmental issues are, I know you will benefit as much as I do from these incredible resources.
Sincerely,
Ken Cook
President, Environmental Working Group
P.S. Don't miss the archives. Just search for a few favorite key words -- like organics, BPA or cosmetics -- and find a wealth of information.
